Brow Aftercare

Aftercare is so important for the longevity of your brows. Not following your aftercare can lead to faded dye, folliculitis or colour patchiness. Below is not only the what but the why to good aftercare practices.

AVOID GETTING YOUR BROWS WET FOR 24 HOURS

Getting your brows wet after a dye or lamination can ruin the results as the product needs time to work into the hairs.

AVOID SAUNAS, STEAM AND SWEAT FOR 48 HOURS

All of these create moisture which can change the results of your brows.

AVOID EXFOLIATING ON AND AROUND THE BROW AREA

Exfoliating on the skin that has dye will fade the colour as the cells are regenerating and with laminations it is harsh on the hairs so just avoid that area when exfoliating.

USE A BROW OIL DAILY

Brow serums are more so for laminations (obviously you can use them on brow sculpts too) but keeping those brow hairs hydrated and healthy will make all the difference with your results over the 6 weeks, avoiding frizzy brows.

STYLE BROWS IN PLACE DAILY

With both brow services this is important but a lot of clients are shocked when they hear that you have to style your brow lamination. Isn’t that the whole point of a brow lami, that they just stay in place? Yes and no. Brow laminations are low maintenance not no maintenance. Whether you like the sleek or fluffy look you can style them any way you like. Just not straight up, its not good on your hairs.

AVOID MAKE UP ON THE AREA FOR 24 HOURS

Avoid any makeup near the waxed area, this is very delicate skin that needs a little time without anything on it. Let that skin breathe for a while.

AVOID TOUCHING THE WAXED AREA

I know we all like to see how smooth our freshly waxed skin is but the bacteria and germs on our hands are not what we want to be putting all over our fresh skin.
